James Harrison Productions

Friendly, professional video production where people and stories come first

As a Wiltshire-based independent film-maker, director and editor with over 35 years of experience - much of it spent working for the BBC - I'm fascinated by people and their stories, and importantly, how to best capture their experiences on film to share with a wider audience.

Online video is the perfect way of presenting a story but it doesn't always seem easy and, in the wrong hands, the end result can be disappointing.

Over the many years I've been in the business, I've realised there's definitely a right way and a wrong way to go about it. I've come to learn that successful videos start by looking for the perfect beginning, middle and end, something that often comes from asking the right questions and editing the story so it not only makes sense, but leaves a lasting impression on that most important aspect of the production: the audience.

Get in touch if you'd like to know more and how I might be able to help you produce just what you're looking for, and have a look at some of my previous work, to get an idea of my approach to making the moving image do its job effectively, for both client and audience alike.
